Online gambling players protected by political masters, reveals house Minister

house Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail acknowledged the presence of political patronage in the nation’s illegal gambling activities.

The house Minister’s remarks came in response to a supplementary question by Sungai Buloh MP Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan who inquired in Dewan Rakyat about the impact of political patronage on online gambling and its hindrance to police intervention.

Saifuddin acknowledged that this issue poses the most significant challenge for the ministry, police, and government as a whole.
